CAPTURE THE FLAG – PWN POSITION

OVERVIEW

The Amsterdam Hack In The Box CTF crew is back again this year with a brand new attack only game (sponsored by Trustwave SpiderLabs) – PWN Position.

Every team represents a racing team who are competing in a no holds death rally. When the CTF starts, every team starts with a non-modded rally car which are equal to the competing teams. Teams can upgrade their rally cars by solving CTF challenges to buy upgrades. The upgrade will give the teams better defense, weapons and power-ups to drive more laps. The higher the amount of laps, the better the power-ups.

A death rally wouldn’t be a death rally if there weren’t any weapons to destroy your enemy. Weapons can be unlocked by submitting flags, by aiming weapons at your enemies, you can temporary slow them down or even make them stop.

Flags which aren’t being used by the teams who obtained them, can be sold on the rally market where other teams can buy them.

If a team’s rally car gets destroyed the game ends, the team is considered disqualified.

- Your own laptop

- Your own switch

- Network cables

- Extra power sockets.

The game will run through out the 2 days of the conference, starting from 10am – 6pm each day. Each team is limited to a maximum of 3 people. At the end of the day there can only be the top 3 winners.

- No flooding and/or DoS attack. Players will be penalized by disqualification, points deduction or time penalty.

- No harassment of other opponents.

- All participants must obey PIT STOP calls. PIT STOP calls are rest intervals where all players must leave the game area to facilitate for the CtF judges to update the score, and/or do maintenance work etc.
