RAOUL CHIESA (UNICRI / ISECOM / TSTF)

PRESENTATION TITLE: Information Warfare & Cyberwar: What’s the Story Morning Glory?

PRESENTATION ABSTRACT:

This presentation will showcase and analyze the worldwide status of nations conducting Cyber-Warfare and somehow “leading” the 21st century Cyberwar approach.

The speaker will then zoom-in on topics such as:

- How the hell much does it really cost to set up a “Cyber Army”? No matter if it’s from a State-PoW or a bad-guys Pow: What do I need? Which skills? Which ones would be the “roles” for my “employees”? What do I need? How much money do I need to spend? Then, from a Nation-State perspective, we’ll dig into side-expenses such as:

- Buying 0-days and exploits -> the security-research market VS the black market

- Setting up your own team of reverse engineers: costs analysis, budgets, timelines
